Overview48-port PoE switch KNPB-48 designed for large-scale edge access device management and centralized operation and maintenance using SmartMC (Smart Management Center). Provides high-performance IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack, rich L2~L4 QoS, enhanced security control and multiple reliability protections.
SmartMC (Smart Management Center)- Purpose: centralized management of a large number of scattered network devices to simplify operation & maintenance for small enterprises.
- Four major business segments of SmartMC:
- Intelligent management: device role selection, FTP server configuration, global configuration, network management port configuration.
- Intelligent operation and maintenance: group management, device/group upgrade backup, monitoring and device failure replacement.
- Visualization: network topology visualization, device list display.
- Smart business: user management and one-key port activation for network access users.
IPv4/IPv6 and RoutingKNPB-48 supports a hardware-based IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack platform, multiple tunneling technologies, rich IPv4 and IPv6 Layer-3 routing protocols, multicast and policy routing to provide a complete IPv4/IPv6 solution.
IRF2 (Second Generation Intelligent Resilient Architecture)Supports IRF2 to virtualize multiple physical devices into a single logical device for simplified management, simplified protocol operation (e.g., routing calculated as a single device), elastic expansion with hot-swap of members, increased performance and port density by aggregating device resources, and improved overall reliability.
Security ControlSupports EAD (End Access Control) to integrate terminal security (anti-virus, patch repair) with network access control for linked security (inspection, isolation, repair, management, monitoring). Supports centralized MAC authentication, 802.1x, PORTAL authentication, dynamic/static binding of user identification elements (account, IP, MAC, VLAN, port) and dynamic distribution of user policies (VLAN, QoS, ACL). Compatible with iMC for real-time online user management and illegal behavior diagnosis.
ACL and Anti-spoofingEnhanced ACL control logic supporting large-capacity ingress/egress ACL and VLAN-based ACL delivery. Supports unicast reverse path forwarding (uRPF) to verify source address authenticity and drop spoofed packets.
ReliabilityMultiple device-level and link-level reliability protections: pluggable AC/DC dual power supply modules, power and fan fault detection and alarm. Supports link-level protections and rapid ring protection mechanisms including LACP, STP/RSTP/MSTP, Smart Link, RRPP, IRF2, 1:N redundant backup, ring stacking and cross-device link aggregation to ensure network convergence and service continuity.
Rich QoS PoliciesSupports L2~L4 packet filtering (based on MAC, IP, TCP/UDP ports, protocol type, VLAN), flexible queue scheduling (SP, WRR, SP+WRR), CAR with minimum granularity 16 Kbps, and ingress/egress port mirroring for traffic monitoring and troubleshooting.
ManagementSupports Console port, out-of-band management port, SNMPv1/v2/v3, compatibility with platforms like OpenView and iMC, CLI, Web management, TELNET, and secure methods such as SSH2.0. Supports SPAN/RSPAN mirroring and multiple observation ports for flow analysis and network optimization.
